Welcome!

My goal is to provide you and your party with a safe, memorable and enjoyable day on the water. I specialize in live bait fishing for Hybrid Stripers. They are the most exciting fish in Oklahoma. I use the lightest tackle possible for taking these oustanding fighters. Since these fish are stocked into our lakes by the Fish and Game Department a constant supply of hard fighting Hybrids is gauranteed into the future with no concern of endangering the species.

Why Hire a Guide?

Hiring a professional guide several times a year costs much less than owning, maintaining, operating, and insuring your own boat. It also assures you and your party a safe and enjoyable experience. All you have to do is meet the boat at the designated time and place. We will furnish all life jackets, rods, reels, tackle and bait. We will find the fish and help you catch them. We welcome kids and adults.

Guide Services

I’ll meet you at the designated boat ramp with a bait tank full of freshly caught and frisky shad. I will provide all the rods, reels, and terminal tackle need for our day of fishing. I’ll show you the places the fish are biting and we should catch our limit of Hybrids or Stripers. I’ll provide bottled water and soft drinks for our trip. My boat is equipped with sonar and GPS for locating the fish, and a 24-volt trolling motor to quietly maneuver the areas where the fish are concentrated. The boat is also equipped with a fixed “T-Top” which provides shade during the hot summer months. You will love the shade it provides without getting in the way of our fishing activities. At the end of the outing I’ll clean and bag any fish you want to take home for an excellent meal.

My Rates

I use top of the state of the art equipment (GPS, color screen fish finder, 23 ft. Predator boat, and more) and will give you and your party a great day of catching some really nice fish!

I provide all the tackle and bait, all you will need is:

• A valid state fishing license
• Camera
• Cooler
• Food and beverages for the day

Lake Skiatook (Spring) or Sooner Lake and Carl Blackwell (Summer)

$300 for 6 hours

$200 for 3 hours

All rates are for two people. $50 for each additional person

Your Fish Catching Guarantee

During March, April, and May on Skiatook, if you book an all day trip and we do not catch any Hybrids, I’ll book another day with your party at our joint convenience for no cost. During June, July, August and September on Sooner, if you book an all day trip and we don’t catch any Hybrids, I’ll book another day with your party at our joint convenience for no cost.

My Bio

I’ve been fishing since I could hold a pole. I’ve been guiding since 1980. I started in the Gulf of Mexico in Northwest Florida then moved to Texas and began live bait fishing for Stripers and Hybrids. I’ve been guiding in Oklahoma since 1999. I enjoy meeting new people who are interested in fishing or learning more about fishing. I especially enjoy introducing youngsters to the sport. There is nothing like the smile on a 10 year old after he has brought in his third Hybrid in 10 minutes. The fish catching action during the summer at Sooner will hook any youngster for life.
